There is a huge interest in how to make money online. Lots of people are doing that very thing, so why not you? If you have a business now with a company that has not been online but now is, it is easy to convert to online. They probably will want to give you a replicated website. This is very simple to do and can be done almost immediately. Then there site becomes your site with your personal information added.

If you are not with a make money online business now, it would be an adventure to find out all about the many businesses that are available to you. A good way to start looking is to go to Google and do a search on Make Money Online. You will have lots of information to look through. One word of caution: there are scams so keep that in mind as you look. They are not going to reveal themselves as scams.

If a business says that you will be able to make $5,000. in your first week, they are not telling you the truth. A much more true statement would be, instead of get rich quick. Making business online should be, get rich slowly. If they use leads and tell you how they are going to make you rich by putting a large amount of distributors in your business, they are not telling the truth. If they tell you they do not buy leads and they do buy customers, you will want to take a serious look at that business.

How would you like to be using your computer to make money online? This is exciting to a lot of people. Perhaps your thinking, since I already have a computer, it would be a great help to make money with this computer that sits in my office hardly used. I would suggest going to Google and type in Make Money Online. There you can see all the different suggestions. Choose one that you like and start studying that particular subject. If you should choose a company with a product, you can blog about that particular business with idea of getting to page one on Google, however you must get permission from the companies business office for anything you would want to do regarding using the companies name etc. Some companies have pretty strict rules and do not want you to use their name online without them checking out how you are using their name.

There are things to watch out for when you are considering a make money online business. There are businesses that are legitimate and there are businesses that aren’t. If they make statements that sound too good to be true, they probably are. Some Network Marketing companies use leads and they tell you how great using leads are. The truth is, they are a good way to spend a lot of money with practically no success. However, if a company instead sells customers, that is a much better way to go. When you are looking to Make Money Online you need to think who will be making the money, them or me?

Any business should be checked out with the Better Business Bureau. The company should have a website with all the particular information about who they are, who owns the company, them or the stock holders. Are they in debt or are they debt free? How long have they been in business? I like a business to have at least five years but ten is even better. Many companies fail in the first five years. When your goal is to make money online, you need to be cautious and very curious, checking everything out. To make money online has many of the same things to guard against as a business that is not online.

There are many ways to make money online, but it is not easy, if you want to be in total control then setting up your own blog is a good way to go. The modern blog evolved from the online diary, where people would keep a running account of their personal lives. As of December 2007, blog search engine Technorati was tracking more than 112 million blogs(Wikipedia). That is a lot of blogs, one of the good things about blogs is that they can be as structured or unstructured as you wish. They are cheaper than a website and pretty easy to maintain.

As I said earlier it is easy to begin and there are free services that you can start your blog on via Wordpress or Blogger. If you have your own online business you will be aware that the search engines love fresh content so once you start your blog try to post to it at least twice a week, keep them focussed around your website and your business, this will help your search engine rankings. By getting higher rankings you will get higher positions in the search pages, essentially free advertising. Keeping your content fresh will keep/increase your position with the search engines and gets your readers to interact with you and gives them a reason to return to your site in future.

There are many ways to make money from your blog, and I provide a few examples below:

Google Adsense - this is free to join and easy to set up. The ads will match the content of your blog, Google does it all automatically for you and you will get paid every time a visitor clicks on an ad.

Affiliate Programs sign up for affiliate programs related to the topic of your blog and display links to those products on your blog. Do a Google search for affiliate program + the topic of your blog to find appropriate affiliate programs. Whenever someone clicks through your affiliate link and buys a product, you will receive a commission. If you are knowledgeable about your topic you could also write product reviews to help increase your affiliate sales.

Sell Advertising Space if you have a popular blog you can charge for this space on your blog. This could be in the form of a text link, a banner or a graphic.

Your blog needs to be "up there" with Google and the like or people won't find you. As soon as you have started to post to your blog, which is promotion for free, you can get others to help the process.

Submit your blog to blog directories just search for blog directories in Google

Ask other bloggers to exchange links with you you put their link on your blog in exchange for a link on their blog.

Write an article related to the topic of your blog and post it to article directories.

Ping your blog every time you make a new post pingomatic.com is an example.

Participate in forums related to the topic of your blog. Put a link to your blog in your forum signature.

Finally, the most important thing once you have your blog up ad running is to post regularly to it. This is a free and effective way to make money online. All it really takes is a little time to write you post. Once you get the hang of it it will become easy and will not seem a chore.

I had a dream! We all have dreams and mine was to be financially free, to be answerable to no one except my conscience, to make money online and to eventually be able to spend less time working at home than I did in my current job. So I set about fulfilling that dream. I was just getting on board, as some would say, the entrepreneurial train. I had read a number of publications and I was aware that I needed persistence, courage and to replace any bad habits I had with good ones, I had a few, not that bad but they needed attention. I decided to focus my research on MLM/Network Marketing because of the relatively low start up costs.

Part of my future success in my new work at home business was going to be based on deciding whether to promote a product or a service based company or a company that had a combination of both. Some people like to promote a single product with a company. Others like the variety of having several products to choose from. Personally, it depends on what you want and what you believe in as well as the range and quality of a company's product line. I know companies that have 350 products that are very successful. Others do very well with a range of 20 to 40 products. It comes down to quality and adding value to customers.

Now comes the selection process. Going back to products for a minute, when doing your research on this try as best you can to make sure you do not choose a company whose products are way overpriced, many are. You must take great care here; if you want to work at home you should be very aware that there are very many distractions that can divert you from your prime goal. If you get distracted you will find it difficult to make money online. There are thousands of network marking companies from which to choose and there are many companies that have good quality products or services. So take care in the process, in my opinion, it must be a company in which you have a genuine interest. If not then you may become a victim of distraction and the Internet has many distractions.

Is it the system, your company or product? Or is it your marketing content and influence?

As network marketers we must not forget the marketing. Marketing is important but you need content and influence. It doesn't matter how much traffic you can drive to your site or your opt-in page, if YOU do not have content to give your prospects you are wasting valuable time.

It's important to understand other people's content and how to communicate it to other entrepreneurs.

Can YOU talk marketing?

Are YOU a leader?

Do YOU know how to write a sales letter?

Do YOU have influence on the phone?

These are questions that YOU need to be able to say yes to. Maybe you can't say yes right now but you should be studying information that will allow you to say YES.

Then it's marketing and tools. If you get them all correct, you will make money online.

If you are considering a Home Based Business of your own, there is a question that you need to ask yourself. Are you success oriented? Have you defined what your success will be? It will be assumed that you have already defined this and have laid out a plan for yourself.

You must have very well defined goals and objectives. In this case it may be that your very overall goal is to establish a successful home based business of your own. So you have decided to start a home based business, now what will you do? In order to be successful you must make money and enough money to cover your well developed budget. Do not make your budget complicated, keep it simple to use. Only when you are making enough money to fill all the buckets in your budget can you consider yourself successful..

The most omitted bucket in peoples budget is the very most important. You must include the bucket element of paying yourself a percentage of the income. Not what’s left after the bills, paying yourself is your first and most important bill, you must pay yourself or you will be doomed to failure. This personal payment then must be marked to purchasing assets. You need to establish a very clear distinction between an asset and a liability and don’t try to fool yourself into failure. An asset is a thing that produces money. You must treat that asset like it is more valuable than rubies and gold because it is. Your first asset should be your first secondary stream of income until you reach a point that your paying assets will totally support you. Never-never-never mortgage them. If you do, you are spending more than your means on liabilities. Even the most wealthy people do not spend more than their means. They know that in order to be financially independent they must always live below their means. Let that sink deep into your mind and it will become a self imposed governor on your thinking and actions. Don’t buy that old lie, you must live within your means. You must live below your means. If you want to become healthy, wealthy and wise keep away from doctors, lawyers, ministers and bankers (theives).

When great successful people get together, what do you suppose they talk and think about? This is important because you want to surround yourself with successful people. Look at what the top 5 successful people that are around you and ask: What are they thinking? What are they doing? Then compare that with the people that are broke, what is it that keeps them broke? After making this kind of comparison you will find that when successful people get together they talk about IDEAS. Five years from now, look at yourself and if you have carefully surrounded yourself with at least 5 successful people you will be making as much money or more than they are.

You now have before you the basics of what is required to make your Home Based Business a very successful enterprise. To summarize: (1) You must set a goal and pursue it with everything within your power. (2) You must have a budget and pay yourself first. (3) You must surround yourself with no less than 5 successful people and talk about IDEAS.

Now for that four letter word, get to work. This is at best a very brief outline to success, give yourself a gift of The Law Of Success In Sixteen Lessons by Napoleon Hill and make it one of your five friends.

we will look at more ideas to increasing your sales. Here are ideas:

1. Sign up your home business website to win website awards. When you
win, some award sites will publish your website link, name and
description on their site.

2. Join online business associations or clubs. If you join, they will
usually list all their members on their website. It will give your
home business extra exposure.

3. Utilize a simple form of viral marketing. Write or have someone
else write a small report with your ad included on it and allow others
to give it away.

4. Improve your business by promoting customer feedback. Tell them you
want their honest opinions about your business, good or bad. Publish
those comments and your replies on your home business website.

5. Design your packaging so it sells your products. Utilize colors and
lettering that make your product more attractive to your prospects.

6. Compare your product’s guarantee to your main competitors. Find a
niche where you can design your guarantee to be more powerful.

7. Try not to assume your audience understands everything in your ad
copy. Try to stay away from using acronyms or technical terms. Define
any words that you think they may not know.

8. Build alliances with other online businesses. You could trade links

Many people who decide to start a Home Business have chosen to become part of the multi-level marketing (MLM) industry. Although this choice is very popular for a number of reasons, it also has an extremely high failure rate. Many factors play a role in why people fail, just as many factors play a role in why others are successful. In my opinion the main reason, or at least one of the main reasons people fail at MLM is their lack of knowledge with regards to marketing.

Many people involved in a home business with MLM are more anxious at selling the opportunity rather than the products. An important fact that is being overlooked is that in order to succeed you need customers. What is really happening with many who are involved with MLM is that they are focusing on getting a new distributor into the business. Eventually, what occurs is that you have a group of distributors all focused on getting other distributors to join. This doesn’t work because no one is concentrating on the most important aspect of any business…customers!

People have the wrong mind set. Common sense tells you that you need someone to buy product, and if all the customers are the distributors themselves no wonder MLM doesn’t work for so many. People who want to have an MLM home business need to re-define their thinking and focus on customers. The more customers that are purchasing the more successful you’ll be. And there is more than enough customers for everyone on the Internet. It is a world wide market place.

Think of this also. How much do you hate someone trying to sell you something you are not one bit interested in? Very annoying, isn’t it? That is why so many in MLM get discouraged and quit the industry. They get tired of people saying “no” to their business opportunity. Trying to sell someone a home business opportunity who has no interest in any business is like trying to sell snow to someone living in the far North. They don’t need it.

So many make the mistake of trying to get distributors rather than customers. And the ones that do become distributors are believing the same thing. That they just have to get more distributors also. So the circle continues until discouragement sets in, no one is making any money to speak of and the quitting begins. If you have a Home Business in the MLM industry change your mind set. Look for customers. And guess what will happen. Some of those customers will become distributors. And then they will look for customers. And some of their customers become distributors. And it continues, the way it should be. A home business can be very rewarding.

The first thing that you hope will come to people’s mind when they need what you have to offer is your name and or business. This is a surefire way to make money, provided you have properly branded yourself. As a small or home based business, your business name is your brand and you probably do not have the dollars that big companies do to make sure you are on the minds of your customers. Never-the-less, if people cannot remember you, how will you be able to make money?

Making a name for yourself, could have a simple start as finding the most suitable name possible to describe your product or service. For instance - you need a oil change for your car but you do not have much time to waste to get it done. Which company are you more likely to choose to get the job done fast? Al’s Oil Change & Engine Cleaning, Jiffy Lube, AAA Authorized Service Dealer or Sears Auto Shop?

Your choice of a company name may be the single most important marketing decision you make. The name you choose can be an important sales tool and a crucial factor in whether you make money or lose some of your customers to a competitor. Your name should identify what you do, should be (if you can manage it) memorable, set you apart from others, is easy to spell, pronounce and find. Not because you think your name is “puurrfect” means that it is. Get some feedback on the name you choose from others. Ask what does the name tell them. If they have to guess what business you are in, go back to the drawing board.

To make money is not easy. It is certainly not easy in a traditional fortune 500 business and will not be easy in your work from home business. The last thing you want to do is allow a name to drive customers away. Spend the time to consider clearly what you want your name to portray. Are you trying to make money? People join you but then they just don't seem to do anything. Some are all hyped up and then die in a fizzle.

When you think about what it would be like to work a home based business. there are obvious benefits such as working your own hours, not having to face a stressful, tedious commute every day, actually seeing what your garden looks like in daylight hours, not having to answer to a boss, being home when your children are, working in a comfortable environment and so on.

Before long, though, you may begin to think back to your previous life and realize you actually miss those umpteen visitors who were constantly interrupting you when you were trying to work, the walk in the park at lunchtime with your best work-friend, drinks on Friday night after work, and being able to run an idea past a colleague for instant, valuable feedback.

Now, everything is just, well, quiet. And there’s no-one down the hall to go visit who’s over age four. You find yourself checking your email constantly, wanting to connect to someone. You find yourself wishing the phone would ring. You! The person who, when you worked in a job, cursed constant telephone interruptions and thought voice- and e-mail was the greatest invention since sliced bread. Welcome to another reality of home-based business … home alone.

Here are some ways to avoid the isolation trap when running a home based business:

Establish a Structure! Nothing is surer to reinforce feelings of isolation as time that stretches as far as the eye can see like a straight, one lane highway through a flat, barren landscape. Don’t start each day without a plan of what you intend to do. You need to structure your time so that it is not some endlessly vast terrain you must traverse alone. So write a to-do list, preferably at the end of the day before, so that when your work day starts you get productive straight away, before the isolation blues have a chance to take hold.

Reach Out! When writing your to-do list, make sure you include at least two things every day that require you to interact with another person. Networking is a vital skill, whether you work for someone else or for yourself. So make contacts with people who can add value to your business, as well as connecting you with the outside world.

Joining a professional group or club, attending seminars and trade shows relevant to your business are all great ways to meet new people who have similar interests and challenges. Participate in the activities organized by these groups and take a good supply of business cards with you.

Establish Joint Ventures! Another way to keep the isolation blues at bay is to joint venture with other home-based business owners. Team up with other businesses that offer complementary services to your business. Not only will you send additional business each other’s way in the form of referrals, you are establishing professional relationships with your joint venture partners.

Organize Your Own Functions! Once you have joined various associations and formed joint venture partnerships, take the initiative and organize functions that bring you all together. These could be business-oriented networking sessions or purely social get-togethers such as a barbeque in the local park. Either way, you are forging a relationship with people in your new arena, just as you did when you were working in a corporate office.
